2024 Annual FAWG Meeting

Overview

We have seen increased reliance on data feeds this year. Distributors are relying on them to improve processes across many business capabilities. With this reliance, companies are demanding we close the gaps in current feeds, all companies deliver the Book of Business feed, and we implement APIs to deliver on additional data needs and functionality.

 

At this year’s FAWG, we will focus on understanding the priorities and ensuring requirements for carriers and vendors are clear.  

 

Eligible Participants

You must be a CLIEDIS member to attend the general meeting.

 

Due to space considerations we may need to limit the number of representatives per company. You will be notified if we face that situation.

 

There is no cost to attend this session.

 

About FAWG
The Feed Adoption Working Group (FAWG) is a group that supports CLIEDIS distributor members and their business partners working together to increase adoption and improve efficiencies resulting from receiving data.

 

Through FAWG we are collectively resolving the issues impeding the use of the data and determining what kind of improvements will improve processes for distributors.

General Session Topics:
  • Implementation Progress Reporting – this is being moved from the Annual Seminar to FAWG in order to be able to ask more detailed questions
  • Feed updates completed and scheduled – carriers are hearing your message regarding the need to get feeds in full compliance and we’re seeing an increase in maintenance activity. Where do we stand?
  • The distributor experience – differences based on internal processes, systems, who’s responsible – roundtable discussions
  • Product Code Mapping Challenges for Commissions – aka ‘combo codes’. What do carriers need to know so that they can provide distributors better information?
  • Commission Feeds (!) – It’s True! We have seen an increase in requests for CREATING these feeds. We’d like feedback on our approach for tackling this area.
  • API Effort – Update, prioritization. This will be discussed in more depth at the seminar so we don’t want to repeat ourselves here.
