CLIEDIS is excited to start 2017 by being able to offer its members comprehensive, virtual, on-demand education on CLIEDIS and CITS. The CITS Education Series is comprised of 23 short video modules providing 5 hours of training. The different sessions cover business needs, technical requirements, and project management aspects of CITS and CLIEDIS related efforts.

CLIEDIS CITS Education Series
Part 1: Business Requirements
This section provides an overview of CLIEDIS and CITS and supports making the business case for implementing feeds. Sessions include:
- CLIEDIS and CITS (10:41 min) – Overview of CLIEDIS and CITS; who we are; mission; what is CITS
- CLIEDIS Priorities (6:53 min) – Covers the key feeds CLIEDIS is focusing on, their purpose and how they work together
- Business Case Overview (7:33 min) – Overview of business case for feeds
- Making The Case Storyboard (13:30 min) – Detailed business case for implementing feeds. Voice-over to storyboard that is separately available for members for internal use
Part 2: Common Technical Requirements
This section covers the technical XML and ACORD items that are common across all CITS standards. Sessions include:
- XML Basics (17:46 min) – XML principles utilized in CITS feeds
- ACORD Basics (16:53 min) – Basic ACORD concepts utilized in CITS feeds
- CITS Basics (14:37 min) – Common CITS principles that apply across feeds. Includes file naming conventions, required, minimum, above minimum data sets; mapping considerations
- Entity Recognition Considerations (4:23 min) – Overview of role of entity recognition for feeds and the technical rules applied
- CITS Common Data Structures (26:29 min) – Reviews the common data structures utilized in the CITS Application Notification, Pending Case Status and Book of Business
Part 3: Feed Specifics (Application Notification, Pending, Book of Business)
This section builds upon the topics in Part 2 to describe the specific requirements for implementing each CITS feed. Sessions include:

This series goes beyond the data structures to the project planning and methodologies involved in implementing a feed successfully. Sessions include:

- CITS Implementation Best Practices-Carrier (18:09 min) – Focuses on the project planning and communications involved in any carrier’s CITS implementation project
